Mona Strassburger

Mona Strassburger currently serves as TASC Vice President and has been very involved with the organization’s activities such as Census outreach and participation with other Thai organizations such as Thai CDC, Wat Thai and THAIS, Inc. She served as Executive Producer on 77th Live, which aired on NATtv and is an English-language TV show about 2nd Generation Thai Americans.
Professionally, Mona has worked for the IBM Corporation, Fox Entertainment Group, US-Vietnam Trade Council and the World Bank. She has an M.A. from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in International Economics and International Relations, with a concentration in Southeast Asian Studies. As part of her graduate program, Mona studied the Thai language and spent a Summer living in Bangkok working for Iridium and a winter break in Mae Sot working with local non-profit organizations and visiting refugee camps in both Thailand and Burma. She also has a B.S. in Computer Information Systems and Mathematics from the American University.
Mona’s mother is Thai and named her after Korat’s Kuanyin Mo, Mona hopes to live up to her namesake by building merits through positive contributions to the Thai community.
