An Education Fund for Unfortunate Children in the Thai Community
On 26August 2011, Consul-General Damrong Kraikruan presented a check of 2,068 US dollars to Miss Wanda Prathomrit and Miss Tanya Riengjarusomboon, representatives of the Thai Association of Southern California, as seed money to establish an education fund for unfortunate children in the Thai community. This is the latest collaboration between the Royal Thai Consulate General,Los Angelesand the Thai Association of Southern California to help improve the Thai-American community.
The seed money has been donated by the Royal Thai Consulate General and its visitors who came for consular services. Consul-General Damrong said that even this is a small amount of money, it will grow out of the generosity of the Thai community’s members and their sense of care.
